Question of the Week

As the holiday season nears, many families participate in holiday traditions. What is your family's holiday tradition? What is the one special thing that you do each year that you just couldn't live without?
Each year, I help my mom make Christmas cookies. Our family's favorite is her decorated butter cookies (pictures coming soon!). I just couldn't have Christmas without my mom's yummy cookies!

Mr. Peterson and I also started our own holiday tradition. Every December, we go downtown to see A Christmas Carol at the Goodman Theater. After, we visit the Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza and enjoy delicious German food!

Please share your favorite holiday tradition! I can't wait to read your comments!

Because my Christmases have changed a great deal in the past few years, I'm waiting to see what traditions stick.

However one thing always happens at the beginning of December, my nativity set is the first decoration I put up. It's been in my family since I was 11, a long time!

Another thing that's remained the same, stockings are sorted through and enjoyed before an other gifts on Christmas morning.

I wish you hadn't written about cookies though. Yours sound exactly like the kind I've been yearning for. Will you share the recipe please? Really!

Happy holidays to Mrs. Peterson's class!

Every year me, my sister Lexi, my mom,Poppa & Mimi go see the windows in Chicago at Macy's. Then we go to the Walnut Room to have a special lunch by the huge christmas tree.
