Third Graders are studying the United States Government. We are learning about the three branches of government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Each branch has very specific and important jobs to do.
Each student in the class made a "Partner Clock." We will be using our Partner Clocks to easily find partners for the remainder of the school year. This week, they students got together with their 3 o' clock partners to read journal entries. Another day, they met with their 6 o' clock partners to play a fun, new math game.

When I used to teach about the three branches of government, I would say it was like a three legged stool. Can you picture being able to sit on a three legged stool that had one broken leg? We have to rely on each branch of our government to do its job.
I love the partner clocks and the skeletons.
What a cool classroom you have! I enjoy getting glimpses of it since I can't just walk down the hall to visit Mrs. Peterson.
